Valdez July 30 2013 Grizzle Bear Part 3 of 3

 This is part 3 of the Grizzly Bears.   The bears are getting more fish for the eggs and fat.  This has to last them thru the winter and into next summer.  The clubs are learning to be on their own.  Mommy bears leave them on their own down by the fish, but she is within site of the clubs.   She is a good mom and is teach the clubs all she knows.  Enjoy the rest of the grizzly bear pic.

See the worker in the building.  He made a good choice to wait to do his rounds.  They do carry bear spray, but most of the time, they just wait until the bears move on.       

 

 

 

OK bird what did you see from above?   Are the black bears coming?  

 

Do you see the mommy bear just over the white hat?  Jack and Barb have more back to the bridge; this is way too close for comfort.  

Do they think this rope is going to stop me? 

OK people, you are just too close to my clubs.  Move out of the way.     

 

The gravel area just behind mommy bear is where we were standing, just 15 minutes ago.   

Did anyone see mommy?   

Should I do anything to the worker car?      

 

The end of seeing the grizzly for this year!   The cubs are 2 years old.   mom will be breeding again in sept/oct.  she must get the cubs weened and on there own before then.  If there are still with her,  the boar will kill the cubs before breeding.   It is not cruel,  just natures way.  We will inquire about there status next spring.  Hope all goes well for them.
